NOTIFICATION RELATED TO COVID-19
Curated Touring is committed to a guest-centered approach that puts you, your safety, and your peace of mind first. With current travel disruptions, we understand you may feel unsure about whether you should continue to plan upcoming travel abroad. Please contact us to understand how you can plan ahead with confidence
Can I hire you to plan my European itinerary? We only design itineraries for journeys that we host. Our privileged access into special sites, including private collections, royal estates, and areas of major cultural attractions closed to the public requires us to accompany each party.
What is your policy regarding trip insurance?
Travelers insurance can offer financial protection for trip cancellation and interruption, as well as assistance should you encounter travel delays. We strongly recommend that you have trip insurance to protect your travel investment, but please note that this is optional and comes at an additional cost. Guests should check to see if they already have coverage through their work, credit card, or annual travel policy.
Do you cater to families? What about young children?
Of course! We love family and multi-generational journeys, and have hosted and guided family members ranging from 90 years old to infants under a year. We have lots of tricks up our sleeve to make travel with children of any age exciting, engaging, fun, and stress-free.
Other companies post detailed itineraries online. You don’t. Why not?
We value the security and privacy of our guests, who appreciate that they can always travel discreetly with us; we never release itinerary details publicly or online. We likewise respect the privacy and security of our European friends and colleagues, who grant us special access to their private collections, estates and other resources. If you are a prospective guest with questions about a particular destination, please give us a call or send us an email–we are happy to talk through the itinerary options over the phone or answer any specific questions you may have.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
We are strongly committed to the satisfaction of all tour participants. We strive to provide full and accurate information about our experiences and itineraries and to communicate changes promptly should any occur.
GUEST ELIGIBILITY
Our journeys are active. Walking, climbing stairs, and standing for periods are basic components of every tour. Because we believe the best way to truly experience a place is to walk, we do so whenever possible. Due to efficiency, we try to limit single treks to 15 minutes or less, but there are likely to be several per day. Walking often occurs on streets that are steep, cobbled, unevenly paved (or not paved at all), or across varied terrain that may be slippery, muddy, or rocky. Some of our behind-the-scenes opportunities require guests to climb over architectural ruins or navigate narrow passageways. None of our activities should present problems for anyone of normal fitness but they are not suitable for those who are inactive, slow, need support, or have little stamina. You must be in good health and have an appropriate level of strength and fitness.
All tour participants are required to obtain any required vaccinations and to provide for their own health care (if required) during touring and travel. All such arrangements are the responsibility of the guest. If you have a medical condition or a disability which may affect your journey or require special arrangements or accommodations, please discuss these with us before booking.
We will do our best to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions. But please be aware that in many countries, restricted diets can be difficult to accommodate while dining out. Guests should communicate any special dietary needs prior to booking so that we can honestly and accurately asses whether we can accommodate them. Curated Touring, Inc. is not responsible to meeting special dietary requirements that they have not been made aware of or approved.
We reserve the right to refuse any reservation request.
TRANSPORTATION
The transportation of guests and baggage on all airlines and other transportation arrangements up to the start of the journey is the responsibility of the guest. Curated Touring, Inc. does not arrange for or include airfare in our prices.
Round-trip transfers via private car from airport to hotel (and vice versa) are included in each tour package. Transfers are only valid within 1 day of the start or conclusion of each tour.
RESERVATIONS AND BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS
To make a reservation, please send an email inquiry to reservations@curatedtouring.com. Submission of an online request does not guarantee a reservation confirmation. A reservation is not final until a deposit has been received and confirmed.
CONTRACT
Information contained in Curated Touring brochures, websites or other advertising materials (either in print or online) is not an offer or a contract. From the time we approve your reservation request, send an invoice, and receive your initial payment (deposit), a contract exists between you and Curated Touring, Inc.
INSURANCE
Although Curated Touring strongly recommends that you have trip insurance to protect your travel investment, trip insurance is optional and comes at an additional cost. Travelers insurance can offer financial protection for trip cancellation and interruption, as well as assistance should you encounter travel delays. Guests should check to see if they already have coverage through their work, credit card, or annual travel policy.
Guests are responsible for ensuring that their travel insurance policy offers protection for claims related to their personal situations and Curated Touring’s policies.

If tour cancellation, termination, or other adjustments occur as a result of these conditions, a prorated refund may be available, with the exception of the original deposit and any other expended costs paid toward non refundable deposits to our vendors. Under certain conditions, Curated Touring may elect to allow transfer of the original deposit to a future Curated Touring offering.
CHANGES
Itineraries, including events and accommodations, are subject to change and may need to be altered or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. If circumstances prevent us from operating an event as advertised, we will replace the event with an appropriate and equitable alternative. If such an alternative is not available, then we will refund our guests for that portion of their visit. Curated Touring reserves the right to withdraw and/or cancel a tour or to make changes in the itinerary and hotel accommodations whenever, in its sole judgement, conditions warrant such a change.
For European tours, the pricing in American dollars ($) is based on a published conversion rate at the time that Curated Touring negotiates and executes tour contracts with vendors. Significant market changes may result in adjustments for currency fluctuations. In the unlikely event that a market situation would prompt a pricing adjustment, such a change would be no later than 30 days prior to the start of a tour.
Airfare, excursions, events, concerts, beverages, and meals not included in the package are additional costs to the guest. Curated Touring is not responsible for omissions, printing, and/or presentation errors and reserves the right to make corrections as required. Meagan received her undergraduate degree in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin and completed her Ph.D. at Duke University. She has taught students at Duke, Texas A&M University, and Baylor University. Her research has been supported by a number of distinguished fellowships and institutions, including the U.S. Fulbright Commission, The Getty Research Institute, and the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation. Although her primary area of expertise is art and architecture in Medieval and Renaissance Italy, she enjoys teaching a variety of topics and periods, including European Modernism, post-war American painting, and Scotland in the Middle Ages.
Meagan lives in Austin with her husband, three young children, two dogs and a slightly cranky hedgehog. She spends her free time playing tennis, reading, hiking, and painting. She is a lover of Giotto, a great admirer of Bernini, and an enthusiast for all things Ravenna. For Meagan, few things taste better than homemade pasta all’uovo, warm Ligurian focaccia, or a bright Valpolicella. Pastries are her love language.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Art History at Brown University, Matt completed his Master’s degree at the Courtauld Institute of Art (London) and then his Ph.D. at Duke University. Matt has taught students at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and also at Duke. His research has been supported by numerous prestigious foundations, including the Society of Architectural Historians, the Kress Foundation, and the Paul Mellon Centre for British Art. While his own research focuses on Gothic architecture in England, other favorite subjects include ancient Rome and Egypt, early Art Deco, and the stained glass of American artist Rowan LeCompte (1925-2014).
Matt has recently moved to Austin, where he currently resides with two chickens, neither of which are his. He has discovered the delights of Tex-Mex and is currently on a quest for The Perfect Taco. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, concerts, and getting in really dorky debates about Latin grammar and etymology. After years of traveling the world, he still thinks that the best meal on Earth is local dim sum on a Sunday morning. He has very strong opinions about where one should and should not eat gelato in Italy.
